Description

Powering Texas’ Future: Energy, Innovation & Opportunity
Join CTCAR for our October luncheon featuring Commissioner Christi Craddick of the Railroad Commission of Texas for a timely conversation on the energy issues shaping Texas’ continued growth.
Commissioner Craddick will provide insight into Texas’ evolving energy landscape, including emerging technologies, the rapidly growing energy demands, and the infrastructure and resources needed to support continued development across the state.
For commercial real estate professionals, energy availability and infrastructure are increasingly important considerations as Central Texas continues to attract major development and technology investment. This discussion will offer valuable perspective on what’s ahead and how Texas is preparing to meet future energy needs.
Meet Commissioner Craddick: Christi Craddick has served as a Commissioner of the Railroad Commission of Texas since November 2012, focusing on energy regulation, agency modernization, and public education about Texas’ oil and gas industry. During her tenure, she has advocated for regulatory efficiency, water recycling in oilfields, improved public access to agency data, and technology upgrades designed to streamline inspections and permitting.
A native of Midland, Craddick earned both her bachelor’s degree through the Plan II Honors Program and her law degree from The University of Texas at Austin. As an attorney, she worked on oil and gas, water, tax, electric deregulation, and environmental policy issues. She also previously led a grassroots advocacy firm focused on coalition building and public policy strategy.
Craddick has served with organizations including the State Bar of Texas, the University of Texas Liberal Arts Alumni Advisory Council, and Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation. She resides in Austin with her daughter, Catherine.
